Looking back at the fantastic reviews of the 2019 vintage by Cam Douglas MS, it’s no surprise that the 2020 wines stood to shine just as bright. Magna Praemia impressed with a, “concentrated and focused bouquet,” boasting, “aromas of dark plums and blackberries, smoky chocolate and sweet toasty wood, violets and olive, sweet tobacco and iron.” On par with its older sibling (the coveted 2019 Magna Praemia), the flagship wine of 2020 followed suit with 97 points. It came with a recommendation to cellar for at least 5+ years which would allow it to mature and develop. The Mystae also dazzled, presenting as, “youthful,” and, “alluring,” with, “an abundance of tannins and back bone of acidity,” and receiving 96 points out of 100. Destinae brought forth a, “bouquet of clove and vanilla,” before displaying, “dark fruits and chocolate.” Douglas awarded this wine 94 points.
