In a recent article posted on Wine-Searcher.com, Nat Sellers acknowledges the tryptech of Destiny Bay wines as the world’s most expensive New Zealand wine. With just ten wines on the list, Destiny Bay is the only winery to have more than one of their wines featured. Magna Praemia sits on top at a USD$346 average, USD$61 higher than second place. Mystae is placed at third at an average price of USD$252 and Destinae rounds out the list in tenth place with an average price of USD$125. Stonyridge Vineyard and Te Motu Vineyard also made the list, meaning 5 out of 10 wines on Wine Searcher’s roll hail from Waiheke Island; an impressive feat for our little island paradise. Wine-Searcher is the world’s #1 wine resource website.
